Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has forayed into the world of web development with astounding success. It has carved its own niche with a growing number of SEO experts who make websites search engine friendly through innovative online promotional techniques. As various factors on the site itself determine the success of your optimization campaign, you must pay careful consideration to the process of web development. After all, search engine optimization and website development are dependent on each other.
While developing your website, you must write authentic code. Irrespective of what language you use for coding (HTML, XHTML, or any other language), make sure that it fully complies with the existing standards. Therefore, it is highly recommended to test your website on the W3C Validator. This website is very simple to use. Just enter your website’s Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) in the box and find a list of errors on the site.
Never forget to incorporate the title tag on each and every web page. The title must always be in the active voice instead of the passive one. So, make use of the subject on front and center only.

Ecological Modelling on the ZX-81
This is a very interesting program from a gentleman named William Masefield that was published in the August 1982 issue of Your Computer. The basic premise is to use the structure of the almost ubiquitous program Life to provide a model of the spread of disease (or the predator prey relationship between spiders and flies) in a woodland ennvironment – think of Dutch Elms Disease. The author makes no claims to this being a definitive ecological model but rather is angood way of introducing some of the more fundamental aspects of ecology. The histogram that is printed at the end of the program is especially eye-catching and does provide a neat way for the viewer to make sense of what has gone on during the demonstration. I should point out that this video has been heavily edited as the full cycle demonstrated here took well over half an hour to complete. I shall refrain from going into too much detail on how the program works but would instead direct you to the link below which will take you to the article that accompanied the listing (as of 04/06/11 – the Your Computer article is not yet ready… sorry).
